Only 16 days remain until the deadline of the 2019 Seattle International Piano Competition. Here are the category specific prizes for this year’s edition:
- Amateur and Youth, Ages 9 and under: Gold Medal, debut at Benaroya Hall in Seattle (competition judged entirely from preliminary recordings)
- Youth 10 to 13: Gold Medal, $800 cash prize for 10 minutes of prepared music
- Youth 14 to 18: Gold Medal, $1,000 cash prize for 12 minutes of prepared music
- Collegiate: Gold Medal, $3,000 cash prize for 20 minutes of prepared music, plus opportunity for President’s Prize of additional $750 and a future concert, plus opportunity for a new Northwest paid recital engagement
- Professional: Gold Medal, $3,000 cash prize for 20 minutes of prepared music, plus opportunity for President’s Prize of additional $750 and a future concert, plus opportunity for a new Northwest paid recital engagement
